为什���这些词容易混淆
英文有很多词对看起来相似、读起来相似，但意思完全不同。对华校学生来说，混淆更加严重，因为中文没有这些区分。
在SPM中，用错词会在语法题、完形填空和作文中扣分。但好消息是：学会区别后，你就不会再搞混了。
最容易混淆的15对词
1. Accept vs Except
Accept（动词）= 接受：“I accept your apology.” Except（介词）= 除了：“Everyone came except Ali.”
2. Affect vs Effect
Affect（动词）= 影响：“The rain will affect the match.” Effect（名词���= 结果/效果：“The effect was a wet field.”
记忆技巧： Affect = Action（动词）。Effect = End result（名词）。
3. Their vs There vs They’re
Their = 他们的：“Their house is big.” There = 那里：“Put it there.” They’re = they are：“They’re coming.”
4. Its vs It’s
Its = 它的：“The cat licked its paw.” It’s = it is：“It’s raining.”
规则： 如果能替换成”it is”就用”it’s”，否则用”its”。
5. Then vs Than
Then = 然后（时间）：“We ate, then watched a movie.” Than = 比较：“She is taller than her sister.”
6. Lose vs Loose
Lose（动词）= 丢失/输：“Don’t lose your IC.” Loose（形容词）= 松的：“My shirt is loose.”
7. Advice vs Advise
Advice（名词）：“She gave good advice.” Advise（动词）：“I advise you to study harder.”
技巧： Advice = 名词（像price）。Advise = 动词（像supervise）。
8. Practice vs Practise
Practice（名词）：“I need more practice.” Practise（动词）：“I practise piano every day.”
9. Principle vs Principal
Principle = 原则：“a man of principle” Principal = 校长/主要的：“The principal gave a speech.”
10. Borrow vs Lend
Borrow = 借入：“Can I borrow your pen?” Lend = 借出：“Can you lend me your pen?“
11. Beside vs Besides
Beside = 在旁边：“She sat beside me.” Besides = 此外：“Besides English, she studies Mandarin.”
12. Fewer vs Less
Fewer = 可数名词：“fewer students” Less = 不可数名词：“less traffic”
13. Quite vs Quiet
Quite = 相当：“quite difficult” Quiet = 安静的：“Please be quiet.”
14. Weather vs Whether
Weather = 天气：“The weather is hot.” Whether = 是否：“I don’t know whether to go.”
15. Passed vs Past
Passed（动词）= 通过：“She passed the exam.” Past（名词）= 过去：“In the past.”
